+the first backpack, in an older post below, is holding up super well. i ride it around almost every day. it continues to be huge, waterproof, comfortable, and hardy. i’m actually embarrassed it took so long, but two nights ago marked its first beer downpour (thanks to an accident at the bar). happy to report that it’s fine.

i was skeptical, but one of my customers convinced me to put a lock holster on the outside flap of their bag. i guess the final word on whether this works will ultimately come from them, but so far it looks good and seems pretty solid.
the specs?
well, it’s sized to accomodate a range of sizes of locks since the actual holster cinches with velcro to hug the lock and therefore is adjustible.
and this one is placed so that a fairly long lock (10″) can snuggle in there without hanging off the end of the flap.
the verdict?
i’m adding this feature to the list of bag options!

this is my first testimonial, from one of my first customers! i made this bag close to two years ago, and i’m glad to hear it’s still holding up really well. i’d asked T for some photos of his bag in action, and so he sent me these two photos of his bag all full of groceries, and another one to illustrate just how many groceries this bag can hold. i’d forgotten, a bit, just how big i initially made all these bags, before realizing that different people like different sizes… whoa!

Website looks good, checked it out briefly. I am camera shy but will try to find an unstaged picture of me with the bag. Attached please find two pictures from a late fall grocery run to the co-op. One the full bag is closed, the other the contents are arranged about the bag. The bag is still friggin huge and no seam tears or unraveling has been present. Truely well made, and no doubt you have probably refined your technique a bit as well. Will work on the other pictures.
